In line with our commitment to electrical safety and technical excellence, Gener USA LLC recently carried out an arc flash study in accordance with the American standard NFPA 70E for the new battery energy storage system (BESS) coupled to the Diego de Almagro Sur solar park, located in the Atacama Region, Chile.
This project marks a milestone in the region for the integration of renewable energy with storage technologies, enabling a more stable and efficient operation of the electrical system. With the incorporation of new high-energy-density facilities, it becomes essential to assess and mitigate electrical risks, especially those associated with arc flash incidents.
